Did you know that 96% of commercial tea bags contain polypropylene plastic?
These reusable tea bags are a great swap for disposables and makes it easy to brew loose tea (or even coffee!).
They leave no 'bits' in your tea!
Add one heaped teaspoon of your loose leaf tea to the teabag, close with the drawstring and steep in your mug or teapot. After, turn inside out to rinse and or wash and enjoy again and again.

How to wash:
- Turn them inside out and compost the tea.
- Soak in cold water to help prevent stains.
- Machine or hand wash in cold water.
- Hand wash in your sink with a little washing up liquid, then a quick rinse under the tap.
- Lay flat to dry
- For a deeper clean, soak the tea bag for a few hours in vinegar and water(apple cider or white vinegar) 1 part vinegar to two parts water.
If the tea bag was used for tea with milk - hand wash after each use.
If no milk, rinse and reuse 1-2 times (same day) and then hand wash.
Plants are shipped Monday - Wednesday to avoid the chance of parcels sitting in a courier depot over the weekend.
Depending on the number of plants you are ordering the cost of freight will vary as indicated by the shipping rates below.

- Rest of North Island | $16 minimum
- South Island | $25 minimum
Please note... Shipping to South Island is applied as Economy by default. If you wish to upgrade your order to overnight courier, please add this to the note section of your order or get in touch with us and we will contact you with the price difference and await your confirmation.
If your order exceeds calculated shipping rates (Shipping rates are calculated to 108kg maximum = approx. 108 x 1 Litre sized plants), please contact us for assistance at hello@puririlaneaddenbrooke.co.nz to organize shipping arrangements.
Upon checking out, the freight charged is applied based on weight and your location, including rural destinations.
- All of our orders are dispatched using NZ Post which is a fully tracked service
- Our freight price is calculated by weight and volume based on pricing provided by NZ Post. For plant orders, you may wish to order the maximum number of plants that will fit in a box to make freight more cost-effective or perhaps share an order with a friend (e.g. In most cases up to 4 standard 1 Litre sized plants can fit in one of our smaller boxes and is the most cost-effective at the lowest shipping rate. However, areas such as Auckland or the Middle North Island may allow up to 12 standard 1 Litre sized plants before the next level shipping rate applied.)
- Plant orders will only be dispatched on Monday's and Tuesday's this will ensure that your order is not held in a depot over the weekend
- All parcels are set at "Authority to leave" which means if you're not home at the time of delivery the courier will leave your parcel in a safe place on your property
- Most NZ Post deliveries are a two-day service with the exception of rural and South Island delivery which may add up to two days.
