'Tiny Dancer' is a compact cultivar of Brunfelsia, also known as Yesterday-Today-and-Tomorrow, which refers to its blooms as they bloom and fade over three days. This evergreen shrub is celebrated for its profuse and captivating blooms. The flowers emerge a deep purple, gradually fading to lavender and then white over a few days, creating a stunning multi-colored display on a single plant. The blooms are also known for their sweet fragrance, especially in the morning and evening.
'Tiny Dancer', as the name would suggest, is a dwarf-size Bunfelsia compared to other varieties such as Brunfelsia pauciflora 'Scent Sational'. The plant typically grows to a height and width of about 60cm, making it suitable for smaller gardens or container planting. Brunfelsia thrives in partial shade to full sun, preferring well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Regular pruning after flowering helps maintain its shape and encourages more blooms. This variety is relatively low-maintenance, offering a beautiful and fragrant addition to any garden.
The foliage is a rich, glossy green, providing an attractive backdrop to the vibrant flowers. 'Tiny Dancer' is a popular choice for its extended blooming period and the visual interest created by the changing flower colors. Please note... Shipping to South Island is applied as Economy by default. If you wish to upgrade your order to overnight courier, please add this to the note section of your order or get in touch with us and we will contact you with the price difference and await your confirmation.
If your order exceeds calculated shipping rates (Shipping rates are calculated to 108kg maximum = approx. 108 x 1 Litre sized plants), please contact us for assistance at hello@puririlaneaddenbrooke.co.nz to organize shipping arrangements.
Upon checking out, the freight charged is applied based on weight and your location, including rural destinations.
- All of our orders are dispatched using NZ Post which is a fully tracked service
- Our freight price is calculated by weight and volume based on pricing provided by NZ Post. For plant orders, you may wish to order the maximum number of plants that will fit in a box to make freight more cost-effective or perhaps share an order with a friend (e.g. In most cases up to 4 standard 1 Litre sized plants can fit in one of our smaller boxes and is the most cost-effective at the lowest shipping rate. However, areas such as Auckland or the Middle North Island may allow up to 12 standard 1 Litre sized plants before the next level shipping rate applied.)
- Plant orders will only be dispatched on Monday's and Tuesday's this will ensure that your order is not held in a depot over the weekend
- All parcels are set at "Authority to leave" which means if you're not home at the time of delivery the courier will leave your parcel in a safe place on your property
- Most NZ Post deliveries are a two-day service with the exception of rural and South Island delivery which may add up to two days.
